sharepoint online features

Hi I would like to confirm some points about sharepoint online.

1)For the document library, I set the view that users only can view the items that are created by themselves

But if I click "View in File Explorer", all the files or folders can be viewed.

Is there any way to remove/hide "View in File Explorer" ?

It will make MyView be meaningless.

  1. If I grant the Restricted view to users (can view but can not download files), they still can Share and Copy link, is it possible to hide both features or set it invisible by permission setting?

  1. About the files in document library, is there any way to open it without showing its location of sharepoint?

For example, if open it in browser, we can get the document library site information from URL.

If preview files through the webparts of Page, it can be opened in a new window, then we still are able to get the URL.

    Dear NiXu,

    Good day!!

I understand all your 3 concerns in the SharePoint Online, but I am sorry to convey that it’s not possible to achieve it via out of the box methods in the SharePoint Online.

I agree with you having these features benefits the SharePoint Online users and it would definitely be ideal if we can add this feature to SharePoint Modern experience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. You can send your feedback on our feedback web portal https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/ . Our product Team is constantly checking the comments and feedbacks from our customer to improve our products.

In addition, I guess you can meet your requirement via some custom formatting code applying on the document library and suggest you try posting your concern in the Microsoft Q&A community: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/  with SharePoint Development tag to get the suggestions from experts.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused and thanks for your patience.

    Have a good day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia
