    Dear ChamE Kim,

Thanks for writing back and updating with us.

As per the further updates, the problem shouldn’t be caused due to the File Size because the maximum size limit for the individual file is 250 GB and even for the Sync is 250 GB:

To my knowledge, the file type in the question is the problem because XLSB file types is not a friendly supported document for co-authoring. However, since the problem is happening with all users, I believe the problem should be further checked by related development by collecting the fiddler logs and I suggest you raise a support ticket from the Office 365 admin center, where the related team will collect the logs and find out the exact cause of the problem.

Reference: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

Note: To create a support ticket, you need to have admin privileges and if you aren’t admin of your Office 365 organization, please contact the admin of creating a new ticket.

Apologies for redirecting you to the related development team support as the moderators in this community have limited resources to collect and investigate the Fiddler logs, and to get the fast and better assistance we requested for it.

Appreciate your patience and with us. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia

    Additional question

Or will it be like that if the file size is so large that it crashes while synchronizing with SharePoint?

There's no problem at the time of saving it, but later....?

    Dear ChamE Kim,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

As per the description shared, I would like to confirm whether OneDrive sync client is creating a duplicate file when you are working on them. If yes, there are few scenarios I would like to confirm where it will help us to better understand your situation and guide you in the right direction:

    1. Screenshot of the duplicate files created in the synced folder.
    2. Are you facing the problem in the Windows OS or Mac OS?
    3. Does only specific files are duplicating, or all files are duplicating in the synced folder?
    4. Do other users who are having access to the Document Library in the SharePoint Online site are having the same issue?
    5. OneDrive sync client version. Click on the OneDrive icon in the taskbar> Help & Settings> Settings> About tab.

Our sincere apologies for not delivering any solution in the first reply but answers to above queries will help us to understand and guide you further.

Moreover, if our understanding is not matching with your concern, please feel free to explain with more details.

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia
