My Grouping & Ungrouping function is not working on my existing spreadsheet.

The Groupings highlighted in green are working.

The Groupsing highlighted in red aren't.

I get an error message when I try to ungroup.

This sheet was working normally on Friday, 7/21/2023. I've already tried using a different browser, a different operating system, and restarted my computer to make sure all updates have been installed.

    Dear Susie,

    From the description, it seems that you are using Excel for the web.

    If yes, could you open the affected file with the Excel application and use the grouping and ungrouping features normally?

    May I know whether the issue occurs in the specific file?

    If it is convenient, I'd like you to share the file with us for us to do a test in our environment. If the file and the file link can be shared here directly, please add your confirmation and provide the file link here.

    If no, welcome to let us know and we'll take the next step to collect the file.

    To confirm whether it is a temporary issue, I suggest you fully clear the browser cache, close the browser and sign into the browser with your account to do a test to see the result.

    It is appreciated if you can let us know the data range you can't group and ungroup as well.

    Spreadsheet Issue

    Yes, I am using Excel Web. I downloaded the file to my desktop, and it's working normally. All functions work.

    So far, I have not run into this issue in any of my other files.

    Clearing my cache was part of my steps to try to resolve the issue yesterday.

    If it is convenient, could you share the file with no sign-in link for us to do a test? If the file and the file link can be shared here directly, please add your confirmation as well.

    Meanwhile, it is also appreciated if you can let us know the data range you can't group and ungroup as well.

    As the link you provided contains the tenant information of your Microsoft 365 subscription, so I remove it to protect your privacy.

    Good Morning,

    Honestly, with how fast I needed to use my spreadsheets, I had to move on and find a workaround. This form of customer support is very difficult. Not having access to customer support that can help with the issue same day or chat during working hours is not helpful. This could have been resolved by now, in my opinion, if I had access to a live chat. I went back to google sheets.

    I think that the faster support may be the phone support. However, I'm afraid that the phone support isn't available on our forum.

    If you aren't the administrator, I suggest you contact him and let him follow the steps in Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn to open a support ticket to our related team so that they can provide the live-chat or the phone support further with more resources.

    The administrator is always the first person who subscribes the Microsoft 365 business subscription or the IT administrator in your organization.

    You can also phone the related team and let them know the urgency of the issue so that they can help you fix the issue as soon as possible.
