Persistent error notification when trying to open Excel file with Pivot Tables on another laptops

Hey there! I've been working on an Excel file with VBA macros, and when I tried sending it to a couple of different laptops, I encountered an error message. The error notification said:

"An item name cannot be found. Please double-check that you've correctly typed the name and that the item exists in the Pivot Table report."

I made sure to carefully inspect my pivot tables, but I couldn't find any suspicious items. There are no external data connections either, as all the necessary data is contained within the file itself. To troubleshoot, I even checked the Trust Center settings and cleared the Pivot Table cache, but unfortunately, that didn't resolve the issue. I also tried searching online and consulting with ChatGPT, but I couldn't find a suitable solution. I'm at a loss regarding how to fix this problem.

I even tried to save the file in simple Microsoft Excel Worksheet (.xlsx) format to ensure that macros weren't a potential problem --- I still get the same notification.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

It seems that you encounter a persistent error notification in trying to open Excel file with VBA Macros on different laptops. If you think we misunderstood your concern, please let us know.

Based on how you describe your issue, this is more appropriate in our sister community forum called Microsoft Q&A. That's where they normally discuss this type of issues. Don't worry as we'll make sure that you'll be able to share your concern to them.

I checked the Microsoft Q&A forum for any related topics, there are some topics about VBA Macros but not specifically about utilizing it in different computers so it would be better to start a topic instead.

Follow the guide below on how to start a topic in Microsoft Q&A community forum.

    1. Login on this link Questions - Microsoft Q&A and login using your Microsoft account
    2. click the "Ask a question" in the upper right corner
    3. Fill out the required fields
    4. Click Post your question once your done

    Sincerely,

    Leonardo_Y
