0x0 Authentication error when users migrated from O365 to Azure

Okay so my company used to have our users in O365 independent from our on premise AD. Recently we synced our O365 subscriptions with our Azure instance. So instead of users having a standalone password dedicated to MSOffice, it is their active directory password. Since we migrated, we have had several issues with our users. We get an authentication error 0x0 or "the user account does not allow editing". The only way we have been able to resolve this issue is from uninstalling office, removing the license with the license removal tool, and occasionally that doesn't even solve it. We need to delete the user profile and create a completely new one. This issue has been working it's way through everyone with a MS office subscription and is starting to repeat on users we already resolved the issue with. I tried sending all this information to Microsoft and they told me they have limited support for 365 apps and to take my problem here.
We have an on premise AD that through connect, we sync with Azure. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Dear Thomas Jernigan

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know the scenario you met. I am willing to help you but since your issue is related to on premise AD. And we are a Forum which is repsonaible for issues and consult about outlook and Teams client so it is really out of support scope. But there is a delicate Team which focus on issues and consult about on premise AD. So I sincerely suggest you support in Questions - Microsoft Q&A. The engineers there who are responsilbe for issues related to on premise AD will provide you further help. Believe the engineers there will help you solve the problem. Your understanding and co-opeation are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.

    Sincerely,

    Katherine
