How to remove formatting text info

Question

Hello

I am working on a word document, an inventory with text and images. When I attempt to print be it in the printer,

or in PDF the formatting text on the right side is printed. How do I fix it so that I am only working with the text

and images in this word document? I would include the original document couldn't find the link to upload thus these

screen shots.

This issue has nothing to do with headers and footers. Don't remove them.

The balloons on the right side of the document are the results of having tracked changes turned on, and specifically of the option to track formatting changes.

For starters, on the Review ribbon, click the down arrow on the "Accept" button and click "Accept All Changes and Stop Tracking".

That will make all the balloons disappear, because all the tracked formatting changes (and others, if any) have been make permanent. There's a similar command on the Reject button's menu.

If you just don't want to track formatting changes any more (while tracking editing changes), click the little arrow in the Tracking group and then the Advanced Options button in the dialog:

In the resulting dialog, clear the check box for "Track formatting" and click OK.

From now on, be aware that track changes can be turned on accidentally, because the keyboard shortcut for it is Ctrl+Shift+E and you may inadvertently lean on the Ctrl key while intending to press Shift+E.

If you want to keep all the tracked changes intact but just don't want to print them, go to File > Print, open the dropdown that usually says "Print All Pages", and click the "Print Markup" menu item to remove its check mark.

Hello

Thanks for commenting with a very helpful instruction.

Removing the header and/or footer was less than successful so I elected to do a copy and paste however all the documents information

copied into the new document. In this attachment is the capture video of the actions performed.

I did scroll down to locate the screen shots. An oversight. Everything is now as it should be - a printable document.
