Hi,
I'm getting "Proxy Authentication Error - 2606" when I try to sync my OneDrive. Currently using OneDrive App, however it's difficult to maintain a copy on laptop and then sync. Need to Explorer version on my laptop, which was there initially. Recent PW update started giving me this error.

Thanks

First sign-out of your Microsoft account

Open the command prompt window by pressing Windows + R

type in this command: RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl,ResetIEtoDefaults

Run that script without checking the box in the prompt

    Re-open outlook/onedrive and sign-in and you should be all-set

This worked for me and my client

Hi Adam, I had the same issue, and a fresh reinstall from the web fixed the issue.

what I did was I went to settings and uninstall programs

    from there I uninstalled

    (1) Microsoft office 365 apps for enterprise

    (2) Microsoft 365 (Office)

from there I went to https://www.office.com once I logged in on the right hand side of the home page there is a button that says Install and more

from there I installed the apps and was able to login without an issue.

It worked for me I hope it brings you some luck too.

RE: OneDrive for business Proxy Authentication Error 2606

First try rebooting / restarting Windows.
If not, in OneDrive sign-out / Unlink This PC

Then run this command in an elevated command window accepting the defaults: RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl,ResetIEtoDefaults
    Now, reboot.
You should be able to sign into OneDrive now.

Note: Restarting / Rebooting Windows is NOT the same thing as Shutting down Windows. You must restart NOT shutdown.
