Command buttons not working

I have started having issues with command buttons. Note the first image with the green command button. I normally get that outline when "Design Mode" is clicked. However, it is not in this first image. In the second image, the design mode IS activated and the outline of the green command button is as it should be at that point.

I cannot use any of the command buttons in this workbook.

How can I fix this?

Could you share a test workbook to reproduce your issue? Then we may help you correct it.

For sharing a sample workbook, upload to OneDrive or any other cloud drives. Then post a link here.

    Hi,

From the second screen it looks like you are in design mode. Click that button once to exit design mode, then the macros should run.

In the first screen the Design Mode is not turned on and I still have the outline around the green command button. It does not matter whether or not the Design Mode is on or off, still have that outline.

It seems your button doesn't assign the macro. Right click it and assign macro to it. Then it works.

And you button is sharp instead of controls.
