Properties Not Loading Sharepoint Data When Document Opened in Desktop Application

When I open any document in my library in the desktop application, the properties will not load unless I click around on the two options available (Document and Sharepoint). The first time I click on Sharepoint, it gives me a Webpage Error with the following verbiage at the bottom:

Line: 1

Error: Object doesn't support this property or method

When I click on the Document and back to Sharepoint again and a few other clicks of the same (clearing the above error as I go) the properies just magically show up. So, there does not seem to be any setting issue, or it would not work at all, correct? Why would this consistently not load the properties unless I click around randomly?

This actually seems to be happening with any document I open in the App from Sharepoint. It gives me the Webpage error, and clickingaround eventually brings up the Properties.
