Authenticator App admin login loop.

I am not able to login to my onmicrosoft.com administrator account. I am the one and only administrator and the one and only team member.

When I try and login I am instructed to use the Authenticator App. I don't have my onmicrosoft.com account set up on my Authenticator app so I try and add it. However in the process I am asked to verify with the Authenticator app i.e. I am in a loop!

I have already tried re-installing the app and clearing cache / cookies. How can I regain access to my admin account?
