Paste special, paste link, Microsoft Excel Worksheet object

Hi, I am trying to use paste special, paste link, Microsoft excel worksheet object while using a Remote Desktop (RPD). I am trying to paste from excel to PowerPoint but nothing happens. When I try and do this from the laptop (outside of the remote window) it works and the information updated in excel is reflected instantly in PowerPoint.

It’s obviously a problem with the remote access but I have asked my IT department and they cannot figure it out.

Thanks.

I'd suggest you create a support ticket to Microsoft. Without environment at hand, it is hard to troubleshooting such issue.

Please contact your admin/IT department create a support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Support> New service request. Support team there will have the correct channel and resources to help you investigate more and find what exactly the reason has caused this situation.

Is there any difference when you right click to paste on PowerPoint on your laptop and on your remote desktop?

Could you share a screenshot of that?

Hi, yes both Excel and PowerPoint sit within the Remote Desktop. When I use them outside of the desktop, on my laptop it works correctly.

    Microsoft Office Standard 2019.

    Thanks.

Do you mean both Excel and Powerpoint files are on remote desktop?

Could you share the Version number of your office?
