Hi Folks,

I am a SharePoint Admin. We have a modern teams site, under that site we have a List.
But the option to save the list as a Template is missing.
FYI : Custom scripting is already allowed in SharePoint admin center.

I just want to create a same list with same column type and views from one tenant to another tenant.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Rishu,

Thanks for your idea how to save a list to save as a template. We tried it in our tennent but even our Global Share Point Admin is unable to save it. We only get the page "You do not have access". Do you have an idea how to overcome this? What need to be adjusted or done to make it possible.

    Thanks for your support.

    Greetings from Munich, Germany

Look at my post above with the complete instructions including screenshots... in particular Steps 1 and 2 + 6 and 7 in my list:

    1) On the Source Site, make sure you have full SharePoint Admin and Site Owner permissions

    2) On the Source Site, make sure you have Custom Scripting Enabled6) On the Target Site, make sure you have full SharePoint Admin and Site Owner permissions

    7) On the Target Site, make sure you have Custom Scripting Enabled (Same process as Step 2)

Like the other user I am the site admin and I still cant bring up the savetmpl.aspx page. I have the same error that I do not have permissions. Maybe this method no longer works?

I noted above you have to be a site collection admin, not just a site owner or SP admin. Check that at ..../_layouts/15/user.aspx. Yet another weird and hidden rule brought to you by Msft.

It still works-but if you see "access denied", you also have to explicitly enable "custom scripting" for the source site. Run this in SP management shell: Connect-SPOService -Url https://xxx-admin.sharepoint.com Set-SPOSite -Identity https://xxx.sharepoint.com/sites/xxxx -DenyAddAndCustomizePages 0
