(Excel Online) Pivot Table does not group dates as Year and Month like before

I have an existing Excel file with Pivot Table, which then i upload to OneDrive in order for me to access it on the go via Excel mobile app. Today when i refreshed the Pivot Table, the Field got jumbled up and i have identified that Month and Year field is missing. How to solve this issue?

I have tried to create a new table to feed a new Pivot Table which contains several Dates and Currency entry for simulation purpose. Result is the same as my main Excel file which the 2 fields went missing. Is there any recent update to the Excel Online that changed the behavior or does this feature only available for subscribed account?

    Hello takoyaqii,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

I have received your reply here. I would like to confirm with you that you are using Excel online and there are no Year, Month and Quarter fields in the pivot table panel? Feel free to correct me if my understanding is wrong.

I have also tested this side of the synchronization, and there is indeed a situation that you encountered. Your understanding is correct, Excel online is lighter than the client and some features are not yet perfect. If you want to use these features, we recommend you to use the client.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. If you have any questions, please feel free to reply.

    Hi Lillian,

Thank you for taking a look at my enquiry.

Yes we are aligned on that. There are no Year, Month and Quarter fields in the pivot table panel, which existed before and i have used it for quite some time.

As this problem has been acknowledged, may i know if it will be fixed anytime soon? Being able to access this feature on the go is one of the sole reason i use the platform.

Appreciate the attention and hoping for an update from your end soon!

    Thanks
