Onedrive Folder Bug

Anonymous

Onedrive comes with folders I don't need (Documents, Attachments, Pictures). I delete them and after a few hours they reappear. I delete them again and they reappear. When I login the next day, and the folders I deleted the day before are there again.

It must be possible to somehow configure the program to suite my own needs.

    Hi Claire,

Due to the fact that it is not possible to configure Onedrive to my needs and that (apart from you) Microsoft offers no specific Onedrive support, I've decided abandon the program.

How do I fully deinstall Onedrive on a Mac and on my Microsoft 365 profile?

    Hi Claire,

I clicked on the link "Get support" which you sent. I watched the instructional video. Unfortunately the information on the video is outdated and no longer corresponds to the "Microsoft 365 support" page.

There is no "support or help" function in the "Microsoft 365 admin" page as described in the video and the support telephone number for Germany is disconnected.

Could you please have someone contact me?

    Dear Office User 948,

    Thank you for posting back.

I took a closer look at your reply. I recommend you sign in another OneDrive account and cancel the Backup feature. Please check if you have the same issue.

If it still happened, I’m afraid this issue needs to investigate from backend side. Please contact your admin in your organization and let him open a support ticket for the first account. For your reference: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

Thank you for your time and understand.

    Sincerely,

    Hi Claire

When I go to Manage Backup I get this message:

When I grant Full Disk Access I get this message:

And I don't want Onedrive to sync or have access to the Desktop, Documents, Attachments and Pictures folders on this computer. I have another Cloud server for that.

I want to save other things on Onedrive. Also, I want to determine which folders appear on Onedrive and which don't.

    Dear Office User 948,

Good day. Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, from what I understand, you may have enabled Backup feature on your OneDrive client. This function will continue upload these folders to the OneDrive, even you delete them again and again. To confirm this, may I know if you enable the backup function? Please open the OneDrive client, select Preference > go to the Backup tab and select Manage Back up. Cancle back up these folders.

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,
