The in-cell check box control became available to me today (26-Jul-2024) in the Current Channel of Microsoft 365.
How to get CheckBox in the "insert tab" for EXCEL.
Hi!
I am trying to add the new "check box" feature in the insert tab. I am currently using the developer tab followed by adding the check box and then formatting them individually. This is very time consuming and I know there is a more efficient way. I would like to simply insert the checkbox and be done. I know there is a recent update that has the "checkbox" feature in the insert ribbon. This is not showing up on my EXCEL. I am current on all updates. I am using the following software: Version 16.85 (24051214). I am a college student and have the 365 Microsoft insider account. I have tried everything. Please help!!

Beta Channel Best for those who want to use the latest builds to identify issues and provide feedback about new features still in development, and don’t mind the bit of risk involved in using unsupported builds.
And according to the article Snow Lu provided I'm not even sure that Check Box is available to Mac Beta participants:
This feature is available to Beta Channel users running Version 2310 (Build 196924.2000) or later.
Version 2310 (Build 196924.2000) is a Windows build.
Additionally, Beta features will not be available to others who access the files in which those features have been used. For example, the check box will appear to non-Beta participants as the words True & False on Macs & in the Excel Online web app even for Beta participants.
