I'm currently in the process of setting up Microsoft 365 Backup and Restore functionality for SharePoint within Microsoft 365. I'm looking to enhance this setup by incorporating the capability to call an API for restoring backup points. Could you kindly assist me in identifying if there exists an API specifically designed for this purpose? Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Are you referring to this Microsoft 365 Backup (Preview) - Overview of Microsoft 365 Backup (Preview) | Microsoft Learn? As this service is still in preview, the information is limited and I don't find anything about APIs for this services.

If you would like know if product team's plan of related public API for this product, currently, I would suggest you raise a service request via Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn
