I am having trouble with refreshing Power query in Excel Online when my workbook is stored in SharePoint. The power query in my excel is retrieving data from public folder and performing various transformations and loaded as table.
"COULDN’T REFRESH DATA This workbook contains Power Query queries using data sources that can't be refreshed in Excel for the Web." this is the error I am getting when I refresh.

I have a scenario where I need to retrieve data from a folder and share it with multiple users, allowing them to access and edit it simultaneously.
I attempted to use the power query and share the excel but had issues due to the presence of table. Additionally, I also tried co-authoring via excel online, but ran into the same problem.
Can you please provide guidance on how to accomplish this task given this limitation.
Let user open file in desktop application to refresh Power Query data.

You may create a separate file for power query and you can refresh data for that file. Then create workbook links to get data from power query file.
Is there an updated time frame in which we will be able to refresh power queries linked to CSV's or additional data sources on Excel for the web?
