Can't delete or insert rows

Has there been a new update that is causing a bug where I can not delete or insert new rows? Anytime I try to do that, it will clear the contents in the column and not delete the row. Then my Excel will crash. My colleagues are having the same issue. It started two days ago. We have tried restarting and updating Excel and nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

I had to reach out to IT/Microsoft. They have no idea what the problem is and are trying to figure it out. Thanks for trying to help, appreciate it

That's not an option as it is with all my Excel workbooks and they all need to keep the formatting.

As workaround, you may try setting calculation option to manual.

I'd suggest raise it to Microsoft.

Please contact your admin/IT department create a support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Support> New service request. Support team there will have the correct channel and resources to help you investigate more and find what exactly the reason has caused this situation.

You may try clearing formatting for that worksheet.

    Select entire worksheet, clear formats.
