Dear User,
Good day!!
Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.
I understand your concern and I would like to confirm whether the missing files in your school OneDrive for Business account is present in the Recycle bin of the OneDrive for Business:
Open your school OneDrive for Business in the browser> Recycle bin> Check for the files and if they are no files, please scroll down completely and click on Second Stage of Recycle bin to check for the missing files.
If they are no files either in first or second stage, please check whether there is any preservation hold library in your school OneDrive for Business account:
Open the OneDrive for Business in the browser> Settings> OneDrive Settings> Return to Classic OneDrive at the bottom left> Settings> Site Contents.
If yes, please access the preservation hold library and try to download the files from hold library.
If no, we are sorry and I recommend you to immediately connect with the related development team, where they will collect the related logs and perform the further investigation to restore the files.
Note: I have checked the service health dashboard at the Microsoft end, where there is no related incident found.
So, I request you to connect with your IT admin of your organization (How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support) and raise a new service request from the Microsoft 365 admin center so that the related development team will connect with you and investigate the issue further.

Note: We apologize for redirecting you to related development support team because the moderators in this community are limited with the resource for further investigation and to get a quick resolution to your problem, we requested it.
Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!
