Hi @JustinMicheal-7973,
How did the sender send the images(insert local pictures in message content, insert pictures with url or others)?
If he sent the embedded pictures with url, based on my research, I found a similar thread that mentioned this problem may occur when the embedded images references an inaccessible link, in order to avoid it, it’s recommended to access to this url in browser directly to check if it could be displayed normally there.
If that’s not your case, please provide us with the following information to further confirm it:
- What’s the mailbox server you are working with(Exchange server, Microsoft 365 or others)?
- Did the issue occur only with specific emails received by the user? If it occurred on any specific messages, were they all sent from any specific senders(such as from any specific external domain)?
- How are the pictures that cannot be displayed properly displayed in the email(display as “x”, blank box or others)?
- What’s the format of the message and pictures? Could the user get the images normally if the sender sends the pictures as attachment?
Besides, if you are working with on-premise exchange server, we could also try to configure Pipeline tracing to capture copies of email messages as they move through the transport pipeline, which would help us confirm if any transport agents make any changes to these messages.
If your issue has any update, please feel free to post back.
