Change input security code method in Authenticator

Hi,

I've been using this email account for many years and have also been using the Authenticator app since its early versions. Whenever I log in, I’m presented with three options to input the authentication code, which works fine.

However, with my newer email accounts, I’ve noticed that the code input method requires typing a number on a keypad, which seems more secure. I was wondering if it's possible to switch the authentication code input method for this account from the three options to the more secure keypad input method?

Thanks,

Vassy

Hello sile01.     Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

It looks like you want to enter the security code inside the Authenticator via keyboard entry. I believe this would be a good suggestion. Considering that you don't enter the code the same way when logging in through both accounts, it may have something to do with the Authenticator's own feature set. I wish very much that I could be of assistance in resolving your issue, but questions about Authenticator are beyond the scope of support in the Microsoft forums. A dedicated board exists for this issue, and there it is intended to support developer just like you. Here is alinkto the forum where you can raise specifics and share your ideas for resolving the issue. Finally, while I can't assist you further, I hope the information I've provided will help you find a better direction. I'll hold this question in case one of our excellent volunteers comes up with an idea for you.Best RegardsEliac | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
