I've developed an Excel add-in that lets me easily make corrections in a relatively complex Oracle database.
I've been using this add-in for 10 years with different versions of Oracle (12, 19, 21) and different versions of Excel (2010, 2013, 2016, 2021) in 32-bit and also 64-bit versions for 2021. For the 64-bit version I had to make a few corrections and use a 64-bit Oracle ODBC driver. But in general, this add-in works without a hitch.
We're currently testing Office 365 64-bit and once again the add-in works without error.
But I need to be able to use this add-in on another site with a 32-bit Office 365. And in this particular case, when the add-in writes to the database, the accented characters (éöèüàä etc.) are not picked up correctly. On this site, the only change is the Excel version, formerly Excel 2021 32-bit.
None of the other elements have changed:
The NLS parameters of the database have not changed and the data read with the add-in are correct (accented characters are present).
