Hello Everyone,
I have an issue regarding the Microsoft Office product key that is currently linked to a former employee's email address. Since the employee has left the company, we no longer have access to their email account and are unable to recover the key. Could you please guide me on how to retrieve the key and determine which system it is installed on, so we can reassign it to another user?

    Dear Vivek,

    Thank you for the reply.

You mentioned that 1 key is assigned to your company domain and others are linked to outlook.com so in this scenario,

I would recommend you post your concern for the company domain one in below link:

    Office Management - Microsoft Q&A

As for the rest of the product keys which are linked to outlook.com, since they are linked to personal account, I recommend you post a new thread in Install, redeem, activate/For home/Show all category to get the dedicated assistance to the experts.

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Dear Vivek,

    Thank you for the reply.

You mentioned in your reply that you have Microsoft 365 Home and Business product key, could you kindly confirm product information and account type that your ex-employee was using was it linked to your company email domain or just ******@live.com or ******@outlook.com or ******@xxx.onmicrosoft.com kind of email address?

If you have any screenshots when you are trying to activate the product key?

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Sincerely,

    Dear Vivek,

Good day and thanks for posting your question in our forum.

Per your description, I would like to ask what kind of office product type do you have in your organization? Is your Office product connected with Volume Licensing or Microsoft 365 Personal or Microsoft 365 Home and Business product subscription?

If you are using volume licensing Microsoft product then I would like to redirect you to our Microsoft Q & A Community below:

So that the dedicated engineers and members from Microsoft Volume Licensing team could investigate and review your request.

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.
