Excel Graph - Subscript/Superscript in legend

I have a graph (chemistry) that shows data of chemicals where the chemical names have subscripts (e.g. CO2). The legend for each curve refers to a cell's value. In the cell, the number 2 is clearly set as subscript and displayed as such but the legend in the graph is drawn without the subscript formating.

How can I set the legend to match the use of subscript/superscript of the cell it is supposed to use for its text?

Note: I'm not interested in adding text boxes or other hacks because I'd have to manually update them if I change the content of the cell and they would not work well when the graph is copied and pasted into Word.

    As a member, I am aware of this page. I must have used my two monthly views as it was showing no active links. However, on logging out and revisiting the link I could access the zip file for the font.

    This font is the only easy solution that I have found for adding a sub/super-scripted alphanumeric to an Excel LEGEND over the years. It avoids the faff of manipulating a text box.
