    Dear  hwu1,

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.

If your Microsoft Authenticator app is not receiving codes, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    • Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your device is connected to the internet. The Authenticator app requires an internet connection to receive codes.
    • Update the App: Make sure you are using the latest version of the Microsoft Authenticator app. You can update it from the app store on your mobile device.
    • Notification Settings: Verify that the app has permission to send notifications. Go to your device settings, find the Microsoft Authenticator app, and ensure that notifications are enabled.
    • Battery Optimization: Turn off battery optimization for the Microsoft Authenticator app to ensure it runs in the background.
    • Time Sync: Make sure the time on your device is set correctly. Incorrect time settings can cause issues with code generation.
    • Outlook Yahoo Business Email Issue

Regarding your Outlook issue with Yahoo business email, it seems there was an update in October that might be causing the problem. Here are some steps to troubleshoot this:

Check Email Settings: Verify that your email settings in Outlook are correct. Ensure that you have the correct IMAP/POP settings for your Yahoo account.

App Password: Yahoo has upgraded security for third-party email apps like Outlook. You might need a one-time specific generated app password to access your email. Check if you have received an email from Yahoo about this or contact Yahoo's technical support to confirm.

There is currently a section of Microsoft Learn dedicated to this issue, designed to support Authenticator users like yourself.

Here is the link to the forum: Microsoft Authenticator - Microsoft Q&A , you can click on “Ask a question” and there are experts there who can provide more specialized solutions.

Finally, while I can't help you any further, I hope the information I have provided has helped you find your way.

If you need any further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

    Best Regards,
