I'm not sure what you mean by this but the problem that I have described is happening spontaneously to many users who have used the workbook for almost a year now.

I have linked another copy of the same workbook below. You should be able to open it without problem. Turn AutoSave off.

The only thing that you need to do to break it is to convert a stock symbol in the Symbol column on the Portfolio Trades tab (Trades table). If you the save and re-open, you will get the error message. It may take a second opening and saving to get the error. If you Delete the pivot table from the Portfolio Summary tab on the original working version, this problem disappears. If you add another pivot table sourced from the Trades table, the problem reappears when you add a converted Stock symbol to the Trades table.

The problem appears to be with pivot tables that contain a converted stock symbol column.

You may not be familiar with converting the Stock symbols. Enter msft into the first Symbol cell. Move back to the cell and, on the Data menu, click Stocks.

How do you get that file? It seems file is corrupt when someone transfer it from one machine to another.

Is there any backup of that file? You will need to find the origanal one to make the povit table work.

    IP has been stripped out.

An issue like this with pivot tables in 365 was reported as early as 2017.
