Microsoft Lists wrong ID value

Anonymous

Since today, when creating a new item (6th Item) in a List, the ID column value seems to be wrong

Title nombre ID
123123 123 100000005

After refreshing the browser (F5), the ID gets updated to the correct value as expected.

Title nombre ID
123123 123 6

If I DO NOT Refresh the browser, It is causing me an issue when using a button action to run a power apps flow because of this ID (100000005) reference is used.

Please your support.

    Dear Jesus,

I see that you create the list in Microsoft Lists.

Could you go to a site in SharePoint Online to create a list and add a new item to see whether the issue happens?

Maybe it may be a temporary issue.

May I know whether the issue goes away in your environment?

Welcome to share any updates at your convenience.

    Sincerely

    Hi,

Since the issue happens across your tenant, please raise a support ticket from Microsoft 365 Admin Center and get dedicated support from online engineers who can provide you remote session and collect HAR logs from backend to locate the root cause.

    Hi @Mia Zhao MSFT,

    Thnx for your Reply,

I tried creating new list from zero (blank List), also from an existing List and from an Excel workbook after exporting. Also I tried from My Lists and Sharepoint List. but the Issue still happens on all places and methods.

I ask for a colleague of my company to try on his end and the Issue happened the same.

Steps I took: (Tried on Chrome and also Edge Browser and Issue happened the same)
1-Go to My List and click on +New List

2-Select +Blank List, add the Name, then click on Create

3-Once in the List, I clicked on the Title Column>Column Settings>Show/Hide Columns>Select ID column checkmark>Apply (to show ID column)

4-Add new Item and the ID will be shown as expected (1)

    5-Refresh Browser (F5)

6-Add a new second Item and the ID will be shown wrongly (100000001)

    Image

7-Refresh Browser again and the ID will be corrected (2)

Important to mention that I was constantly doing the steps for this last month and the Issue appears since Nov 27th, 2024.

Thanks in advance for your support and I will keep pending on this.

    Hi Jesus Alonso Colunga Villatoro,

As per the description and attached sample, I understand the scenario happening on your side that adding a new item in SharePoint lists will not show the correct/sequential ID until a browser refresh, which will cause the trouble with a Power Apps flow connected.

In this situation, since I deployed tests on my various tenants but failed to reproduce the same behavior, I would like to know if it happens on only the specific list but not other lists or new ones? This helps to confirm if it is a specific list cache or some deeper conflict with Lists service. And if it only happens on the current list, my suggestion to overcome this efficiently is to Export to workbook and create a new list from the workbook to continue.

Please correct me if I made any misunderstanding and if the same issue persists, come back with me and I will be here waiting for your updates. Appreciate your time and patience. Hope you a nice day and stay safe!

    Best Regards,

    Mia
