Why are connectors not working while using Visio?

When attempting to use connectors on Visio I will click on connectors and then click on the piece I am starting at and drag to the piece I am ending at. Prior to today a line would appear connecting the two shapes. Now nothing happens that is at least visible. I have checked everything I can think of and have tried what I have found online so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    We did test with Visio desktop app version 2411 and Visio web app in browser on our end but we can't reproduce the same result as yours. We even test with different devices

    , but this behavior didn't happen on our end.

    In this situation, to help you better, we would like to collect more detailed information you're experiencing to us so that we can have a further investigation:

    1. Are you having issue with Visio desktop app or Visio web app in browser? Will they encounter a similar situation?
    2. Does this happen to a specific file or all files? Please share some screenshots of the issue encountered with us.
    3. If having issue with Visio desktop app, please also share your operating system version and your Visio version with us. For Visio version, please navigate to Visio > File > Account and take a full screenshot.

    Meanwhile, would you please share more about "I have checked everything I can think of and have tried what I have found online so far." with us? If having issue with Visio desktop app, please try Office safe mode and Online Repair Office to check the outcome.

    Visio connector issues

    Here is a quick video showing how the connectors will not connect to things. I have tried multiple shapes in this file and nothing connects. It worked on Friday and when I came in on Monday this is what started happening.

    The things I have tried are in other Microsoft questions that have been answered, forums, and Youtube videos that I have watched. I tried so many yesterday cannot even begin to remember what all I tried.

    Please be patient with me I have taught myself everything I know (which is not much) about Visio within the last month.

    Creating a new file allows connectors to work again so it appears to be just the file I am working on.

    I am running windows 10 pro version 22H2.

    Attached is the Visio version screenshot.

    Here shortly I will try to open in safe mode and I will try online repair office when time allows at work today.

    Quick update before I leave for the day. When opening in safe mode this is what I got, but I was not able to click on anything to try out connectors.

    I was not able to do anything with repair in office application as this is a work computer and I do not have permission to do it, and the gentleman in charge of IT is out this week.

    I will be out of office until this coming Monday. I look forward to seeing our next step.
