Restore a Class Notebook Folder

A teacher deleted an active Class Notebook from her OneDrive > Class Notebooks folder and also deleted it from her Recycle Bin (so the ability to Restore the folder is gone). We recovered the folder from our server and all of its contents are intact which includes individual student folders. We moved it back into her Class Notebooks folder on her OneDrive and ran a sync, but she nor the students can see it in their OneNote. How do we proceed with restoring this Class Notebook folder for the teachers and her students?

    Hi Lisa Lukens,

As per the description, it seems like you have restored the folder successfully, but moving back into the folder in her OneDrive is not showing the content correctly in OneNote. If so, it is possible that the connection is broken in the backend of the class notebook, and I suggest you contact the school admin to raise a free support ticket from Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

The escalated support engineers there has more permission than us to offer the developed support like remote session, which may help to recover the folder connection with the class notebook and make it visible for the teacher and other students. This would be the most efficient way to handle this case for you and your students. Reference: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

Please correct me if I made any misunderstanding or if there have anything else I can do for you.
