We had an IT person setup our microsoft email, I believe it is setup under his own account/organization. We were in the process of moving everything over to google and to handle the account on our own but now we are getting this error and cannot access our email. I do have ownership over the domain but I was having trouble moving over to gmail because the account was setup as online only and there was some issue with not having an actual outlook app on our pc. I just need to be able to access our email and move it over to gmail. How can I do this? This is the complete error.

    Hello Essensa Clinic,

Good day! Thank you for posting in the community.

The TenantAccessBlockedException error usually indicates that your Microsoft 365 tenant has been blocked, often due to an expired subscription, billing issues, or specific policy violations. Since your account was initially set up by an IT person under their organization, this configuration could be creating access restrictions on your end.

Here are recommended steps you should primarily take:

Verify Subscription Status: This error can occur if the Office 365 subscription has lapsed or wasn’t properly maintained. Log into the Microsoft 365 admin center using the admin account to check your subscription status and ensure that it is active.

Contact Your IT Administrator: Since the account setup was handled by an IT person within their organization, you may need their assistance to verify the configuration and resolve any access restrictions.

Contact Microsoft Support: Given the account’s setup details, Microsoft’s back-end support team will be essential in diagnosing this error. They have the specialized tools and secure channels to investigate account configurations and gather logs necessary for resolving blocked tenant issues. Their support engineers can perform an in-depth review, which is outside the capabilities of community or forum members. Therefore, for more personalized assistance, I encourage you to reach out to Microsoft's technical support team. They are well-equipped to guide you through this process.

This process typically involves the Office 365 Global Admin conducting a remote session to gather advanced logs. If necessary, a technical support engineer can escalate the issue to a specialized team for further investigation.

Here’s what your Office 365 Global Admin should do next:

    1. Submit a Service Request: The Global Admin should create a service request with Microsoft support to get advanced technical assistance and diagnostics. For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.
    2. Find Your Microsoft 365 Admin: If you’re unsure who the Global Admin is within your organization, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.
    3. Call Microsoft Support: For additional assistance, use this link to find the appropriate contact number: Global Customer Service phone numbers - Microsoft Support
    4. Contact a Reseller (if applicable): If your Office 365 subscriptions are managed through a federated partner or reseller and the Global Admin cannot open a service request, they should contact the reseller’s support provider. The reseller can assist with initiating the request and coordinating with the Office 365 support team.

Note: If you’re an end-user or has no access to the Microsoft 365 admin portal, please coordinate with your Office 365 Global Administrator to handle these steps.

Please note that as members of the community, we do not have access to user information or the tools necessary to assist you directly due to privacy limitations. However, we're here to help point you in the right direction and connect you with the right support channels where you can get the assistance you need.

I appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Have a great day!!
