Visio changing language after another program updates

Hello,

I have a user whose Visio changed language from French to English after updating another program called FortiClient. It also apparently changed the size of her font in Outlook as well. I checked all the language settings and everything is set to French for default and everything and the language check at the bottom says French but all of her menu options are in French.

FortiClient is a 3rd party AntiVirus software my company uses.

Would someone be able to advise?

    Hi Jan Phillip Patterson,

Greetings. Thank you for posting the thread to our community.

I understand your concern, it seems after you upgrade the FortiClient antivirus, the display language of your Visio changes into English even you’ve set in French.  For the situation you’ve encountered, I do understand the inconvenience caused and feel very sorry about it.

In that case, I assume it might be the cause of the settings in FortiClient. I suggest you can try to temporarily disable the FortiClient to check whether the issue will persist or not. If the language is changing back to French after disabling it, I suggest you can try to find the support from FortiClient as this app isn’t in our support boundary.

Note: Don’t forget to re-open the antivirus after you’ve disabled it.

If the issue persists after you disable the FortiClient, I’m afraid this issue needs to be investigated from back end to find the cause. The support team has higher permission to remotely assist you and collect background logs for the root cause. This is a more efficient way in handling this case for you.

Appreciate for your patience and understanding.

Hope you having a nice day.
