Edit in grid view option missing

Hi All

in teams we have the edit in grid view disappearing often.

I cant make any sense of why its there sometimes and why its missing other times.

I have two sites in teams and one site will show the edit in grid option and the other wont. sometimes they both dont. sometimes they both do.

I've checked the settings for the style and SharePoint site and they are identical.

there are no filters or groupings going on.

is there a reason for this? I've seen a lot of posts of people having the same issue but nothing seems to resolve this.

is there any specific reason or configuration that is required for this button to show?

but I also don't understand what could make it come and go.

    Hi Adam Jeff,

    I went through your post carefully and as per the clear screenshots of showing the behavior of unstable Edit in grid view option missing situation from quick access bar. Hence, I tried to deploy some more tests on my side with various test tenants, but it seems like I can reproduce the same issue. And sometimes, click Files down arrow>Reload tab will reappear the Edit in grid view button while sometimes it will need multiple times of refresh.

    In this situation, I'm afraid this issue could be a temporary server-side issue from Teams side instead of your tenants. Hence, it is suggested to submit via the in-app feedback so that the related Teams product development team can get informed of this situation and the range that it has been affected across universal tenants, and so they can update a fixed version as soon as possible to make a stable behavior of quick access bar in Teams.     Meanwhile, if you want to get urgent support to resolve this on you and your tenant side, I suggest that you raise a free support ticket from the Microsoft 365 admin center and report the issue to the escalated Teams online support team to get the proper and dedicated support. The support team there has more permission than community moderators here, they can help you remotely and collect logs to find out what exactly happened that caused the option loading issue. They may also involve more resources to investigate the issue from the backend. This would be the most efficient way to handle this situation for you and your tenant.     thanks for fast reply and for taking the time to look into this issue.

    I appreciate the troubleshooting and I'm glad you were able to reproduce the issue.

    I have submitted in-app feedback, and I will also raise a ticket with my org so this error will be passed up through the correct channels.

    my main concern was if I was doing something silly with some setting, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't insane,

    There absolutely has nothing wrong from your side and I can reproduce the very unstable behavior of this across my different tests environment. I understand how this can confuse end users as the option is appearing very randomly.
