Removing Copilot. Seems it its impossible to remove this app from the computer I BOUGHT.

I asked Copilot how to remove it from MY computer.

Here is what it told me: "If you want to completely remove Microsoft 365 Copilot from your computer, you will need to uninstall the Microsoft 365 applications that include Copilot features. Here are the general steps to uninstall Microsoft 365 applications: Open Control Panel: You can do this by searching for "Control Panel" in the Start menu. Go to Programs and Features: In the Control Panel, click on "Programs" and then "Programs and Features." Find Microsoft 365: Look for "Microsoft 365" or "Office 365" in the list of installed programs. Uninstall: Select the Microsoft 365 application and click on "Uninstall." Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation process. Please note that uninstalling Microsoft 365 will remove all associated applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others. If you only want to disable Copilot features, you might want to check the settings within each application to see if there is an option to turn off Copilot. If you need further assistance, feel free to ask!"

This why, by the end of the year, I will no longer have any Microsoft products or software.

BTW, even this form page is poorly designed and not user friendly.

I do not want copilot anywhere on my computer.

It certainly appears you do not care what your customers want.

I keep following guides to opt out that say "go to settings and find...xyz" and it's never there. I'll probably downgrade to basic.

Remove Copilot from Microsoft 365 - Your Windows Guide

Fortunately, Microsoft can disable or remove Copilot from Microsoft 365 if you do not want it. The steps for it are very simple.

    1. Please open the Office app on which you want to disable the feature, such as Microsoft Word.
    2. Next, from the top, Click File > Options.
    3. Concurrently, Select the Copilot submenu.
    4. Uncheck the box that says “Enable Copilot”.
    5. Restart your Microsoft Office App.
    6. The Copilot menu item should be gone.
