Editor not showing up on Outlook on the web!

Hamdan H. Chowdhury 31 Reputation points

I use outlook email on the web browser, and up till a month ago, everything was working fine. Now on my inbox, the editor tool seems to have disappeared, meaning my emails cannot be proof read / spell checked anymore. When I go into customize toolbar it shows that editor is enabled but it isn't showing up in the actual toolbar. Help!

    Hi @Hamdan H. Chowdhury ,
    What browser did you use?
Did you use Plain Text format in Outlook?
I suggest you can try to change the browser and check the result, and please refer to this screenshot and check if you're using Plain Text format, if yes please switch to HTML format:

Same problem. Have posted it elsewhere as well. Nothing to do with HTML nor the browser, doesn´t show on Chrome either (was using Edge).

Everything made even worse because for some reason Outlook for the Web disables de browser Editor plug-in, though it works on while using the calendar. Some of these decisions by Microsoft really baffle the mind... and I am being kind because if it´s not a decision then is pure incompetence in the consistency of the UIX. I can be typing on this box with the Microsoft Editor plug in working perfectly, then go to Outlook and it stops working to let a version embedded within outlook itself that never worked that well and is a pain due to lack of easy swapping/automatic multi-language support.

I ran into the same problem. Has Microsoft figured a way to do that?

Hi, it is back, at least in my case, since a few days ago.
