Hi, I have created a chatbot agent using Copilot Studio and deployed into a SharePoint site by following this tutorial:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot/blog/copilot-studio/deploy-a-custom-copilot-to-sharepoint-with-a-seamless-single-sign-on-experience/ on adding the spfx component to SharePoint the agent is available to everyone, I would like to restrict access to a specific users/group for testing before rolling out to everyone.
What would be the best way to achieve this ?

    Deaf John Lever2,

To restrict access to your Copilot agent on a SharePoint site, you can follow these steps:

    1. Use SharePoint Permissions: Navigate to the site > Click on “Settings” >> “Site Permissions” and then “Advanced permissions settings.” > Remove all users and groups permissions from this page and manually grant permission to the specific group of users.

    1. Control user access through licensing: You can either set file permissions on the agent file or use the Microsoft 365 admin center to assign Copilot licenses to specific users or groups. Admins can choose to edit the service plans under the Copilot license to specifically allow or block users from using Copilot experiences on SharePoint. Under the license details page for Microsoft 365 Copilot on the Microsoft 365 admin center, admins can turn 'Microsoft 365 Copilot for SharePoint' on or off on a per-user basis. For detail steps, please refer to Manage access to SharePoint agents - SharePoint in Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Learn.
    2. Integrated Apps Management: Go to the Integrated apps section in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Here, you can make the agent available to specific users or groups, or block it for the entire organization. These steps should help you control who can access your Copilot agent for testing purposes before a wider rollout.
