    Hello Armstrong Allison L

Based on your description, it sounds like you're encountering a specific issue with Microsoft Authenticator where the app isn't generating the required authentication code after you have set it up on your iPad. Even though you mentioned the app is updated, there could be an issue with compatibility between the version of the app, the iPad’s operating system, and the setup process from your college Common questions about the Microsoft Authenticator app - Microsoft Support.

Can you please confirm if you have tried calling your school's help desk regarding the issue? This is because we forum moderators don't have administrative control over college accounts, especially when it comes to things like account logins, password resets, access changes and authentication issue*. These actions require higher-level administrative privileges, which are typically held by the college IT department or the Global Administrator at the institution.* Find the administrator for your work or school account - Microsoft Support)

You can also reach out to Microsoft authenticator experts (Microsoft Authenticator). The Microsoft Authenticator team is equipped to handle technical issues with the app, such as syncing problems, code generation failures, and compatibility issues with devices. They will have access to detailed diagnostic tools and can pinpoint exactly why the app isn’t working as expected.

Hope this helps! Please feel free to repost if you need further assistance with the issue. We are here to help in anyway.
