My PC is stuck on version 22H2 and is unable to update, so i tried to factory reset the computer but is unable to. I've tried a few other solves on this forum but none have worked yet. Either a solve for being able to update it or a solve on resetting my device would be appreciated.

    Hi Ian,

What happens when you try to install updates? Are there any error codes?

    1. Please run "winver.exe" and post a screenshot.
    2. Run msinfo32.exe, and click System Summary. Resize the columns in the right pane to make the entries visible, and post a screenshot.

Your system is running Windows 10 version 1909, which is outdated and has reached the end of its servicing life. The system needs to be updated to Windows 10 22H2.

Note: AMD Ryzen™ 7 2700X supports Windows 11. However, to upgrade to Windows 11 the device must be running Windows 10, version 2004 or later.

Please share your Farbar scan logs for analysis.

1] Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool 64-bit (FRST64.exe)

    https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/

2] If the OS language is not English, rename FRST64.exe to FRST64English.exe.

3] Run the program. Don't check or uncheck any options. Click "Scan".

4] Add the two logs, FRST.txt and Addition.txt, to a Zip archive, share them on OneDrive or GoFile.io, and post the link here.

Note: If Microsoft Edge or Chrome mislabels the Farbar Scanner executable as PUA/malware, choose to keep it by tapping … in the bottom bar, choosing Keep, and then choosing Keep anyway in the dialog that appears.

See this screenshot: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/media/microsoft-edge-security-download-interruptions/dowload-was-blocked.png. It's a safe tool used in most antimalware forums.

    Hi Ian,

    Please run the fixlist below.

(The fixlist removes some outdated drivers, runs a driver assessment, and refreshes the compatibility appraiser assessment. Your browser's cache and cookies will also be cleared.)

    • Download fixlist.txt
    • Save Fixlist.txt to the same folder as FRST64.exe.
    • Close all programs.
    • Launch the Farbar Scanner tool and click "Fix".
    • Restart Windows when prompted.
    • Upload the output log file (FixLog.txt) to GoFile.io or OneDrive.
    • Upload the [date-timestamp].zip file located on your desktop to GoFile.io or OneDrive.

NOTE: The fixlist.txt script was written specifically for this user and for use on that particular machine. It is not recommended to run it on another machine, and don't run the same fixlist.txt more than once.

    The BIOS version is outdated.

Please install the latest BIOS for your system -- B450M MORTAR (MS-7B89).

    https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450M-MORTAR/support

Also, install the latest chipset drivers.

Let me know once it's done.

Thanks for the update. To upgrade to 22H2, please use the Media Creation Tool.

1] Download Windows 10 Media Creation Tool (MCT) from this link:

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=2265055

2] Run MCT and accept the license agreement.

3] Click "Upgrade this PC now". This starts the in-place upgrade.

Your apps, settings, and files will be kept by default during an in-place upgrade.
