Hi @Tom Demler

Good day! Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum and sharing your experience.

I understand how important it is to maintain a secure environment, and I appreciate your diligence in identifying potential vulnerabilities flagged by your security tools.

Some vulnerability scanners, such as Nessus, have identified the embedded version of SQLite (3.49.0.0) within Microsoft Teams as potentially vulnerable. I’d like to walk you through the current status and what you can do in the meantime.

Now, Microsoft is aware of this issue and has escalated it to the appropriate internal teams for review and resolution. And at this time, there is no confirmed release date for when Teams will be updated to include a newer version of SQLite.

  1. Track Microsoft Teams Updates
  • Please monitor the official Microsoft Teams version history page.
  • This page is updated regularly and will reflect when a new version of Teams includes an updated SQLite component.
  1. Submit Feedback

This issue has been acknowledged by others in the Microsoft community as well. Since it’s an expected behavior in the current design, I recommend submitting feedback in Microsoft 365 Feedback Hub   Go to: Microsoft 365 Feedback Hub →Send Feedback→ Describe your proposal in detail   User's image

Your feedback is important, Microsoft actively monitors user input to prioritize improvements. The more feedback they receive on this issue, the more likely it is to be addressed.

Moreover, we understand the importance of resolving this vulnerability and are committed to keeping Microsoft Teams secure. While the update is under review, the steps above can help you manage the risk and stay informed.

Thank you again for your patience and for choosing Microsoft Q&A forum. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can assist you with. I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Same issue here as well. We have multiple issues with not only Teams, but also MS Photos as well.
