I created a MS List and it has two URL columns, both are set to hyperlink. The links are not working. I tested the format of the links and they are fine. I tried shortening the urls and it doesn't change, they still don't work. I need help to resolve. Thanks.

    Dear @Doneen Swart

    Welcome to the Q&A Community.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. Based on your description, I'd like to offer the following insights and recommendations to help address the issue.

    1.Column Type
Make sure the column is set to Hyperlink, not Single line of text.

Step 1: You can verify this by selecting Column settings > Edit and confirming the type.

    2. Publishing Features (if using SharePoint integration)

If your list is part of a SharePoint site, activate the SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure under Site Settings > Site Collection Features to enable enhanced hyperlink formatting.

For reference, you may check this link:

Add publishing columns to content types, lists, or libraries - Microsoft Support

If the steps are not visible, you may refer to the instructions provided in this link: Enable publishing features - Microsoft Support

    3. URL Format

Even if the URLs look fine, ensure they:

    Start with http:// or https://

Do not contain unsupported characters or spaces.

    4. Browser or Permissions

Try accessing the List in a different browser or clearing your current browser's cache. Sometimes, browser settings or extensions can affect functionality.

You can try these workarounds and update us. If the issue still appears please feel free to let us know and we will keep assisting you. Please know that we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we strive to support you. We are here to help. Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.

Thank you. This was way too complicated for me to figure out. In the end, I removed the conditional formatting I applied to these two columns and they now work as expected. Is this a bug? My issue is essentially resolved. I addeded the conditional formatting so that when I add the list to a sharepoint page, it looks like it is clickable. Now that the formatting has been removed, it just looks like plain text. It's fine, not what I wanted, but at least the links work now.

    Thanks for your help.
