Hi, I am a family organizer in my microsoft family and me and my son want to play minecraft. The problem is that even after I set all permissions to allow in the xbox privacy settings and from the xbox family app, he is still unable to play minecraft because it is grayed out and looks like this:Screenshot 2025-07-31 222044

    Hello Rishi Muni,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A and informed us about this issue. From your post I believed that the issue may be Safet settings related and here's a few ways you can try to resolve this:

    Check Age restrictions:

    • Sign in to Microsoft Family Safety > Select your son’s account > Content Restrictions.
      • Make sure You can play games rated up to is set appropriately: For ages 10 and up or higher, since Minecraft is rated E10+ for some versions
      • Turn off Block inappropriate games If the problems still persist, you can contact Xbox Support for further support. On Home page look for Contact Us: 11
      • Then input this information and click Next: 22
      • Then you can choose the first option to connect with a live chat agent: 33
