I posted this a bit ago but wasn't able to reply to the thread in a timely manor.

I built my gaming PC five years ago, and have just started running into this constant issue where games will crash on a more than capable pc. In event viewer i get the error message for service control manager that states "The GameInput Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 6 time(s)." with event ID being 7034. Any input is greatly appreciated. The minidump files its producing are linked

    Hi Mike.R,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

Thanks for sharing the details of your issue. I understand how frustrating it is when your games crash repeatedly on a capable gaming PC, especially with different errors. From the message and your dumpfiles, there seems to be something wrong with GameInput Service and the NVIDIA graphics driver. The crash usually points to driver instability or hardware conflicts.

I found a similar situation here Gameinput service stops working after Windows 11 update KB5032288 : r/WindowsHelp and some users reported that it helped them fix the issue. You can check it out, and if the suggestion doesn't work, I also have other solutions that you can try out:

1 - Manually disable GameInput Service

    • Press Win + R > type services.msc > Enter
    • Right-click GameInput Service > Properties
    • Disable Startup type > Restart your PC

2 - Clean reinstall NVIDIA Drivers

3 - Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers

    • Visit your motherboard manufacturer’s website
    • Download the latest BIOS and chipset drivers

If these steps don't resolve your issues, your GPU may be failing due to age-related hardware degradation. The nvlddmkm.sys errors combined with the watchdog violations suggest the card may need replacement soon. Consider taking your device to a technical store or request a professional to take a look at your PC. Thank you for your time!
