Emails in my inbox list don't appear properly as of one or two days ago. Instead of listing the sender name, subject, etc., only the first few lines of the raw message header are shown. In the reading pane, the entire raw message is shown, not the normal message. I didn't make any changes in Outlook options of settings. Any ideas on what causes this, or how to get back to a normal list of emails?

This is a bug in your content scanner - RazorGate-Vadr. It doing something that corrupts the emails for outlook. I've seen this previously with mcafee and norton's antispam scanners, although not for several years. Use webmail until its fixed. Email is fine on mobile devices too. Outlook is just more temperamental and less forgiving when a message is mailformed.

Our Outlook In App Team found with a couple users that disabling ‘Encrypted Web Scanning’ feature in Bitdefender mitigated the issue. Please check if this applies to you. Open Bitdefender > Protection > Online Threat Prevention > disable 'Encrypted Web Scanning'.

I'm having the same problem since yesterday. I tried creating a new profile and repairing the Office 365 installation but with no effect. I also disabled the Encrypted Web Scanning option in BitDefender as suggested but nothing changed. The emails can be correctly read on the webmail and cell phone but not with Outlook (Microsoft 365 recently updated to the 2507 version). I hope Microsoft can fix this problem.

I use Bitdefender, and Razorgate seems to be a different company and I have no Razorgate products. Why would Razorgate would get mentioned in the email headers from both spammers and legitimate contacts? I'd think a local content scanner would not add anything except to the subject line.

It's your email host doing the scanning. Contact your email host and let them know you are affected.

Don't waste your time repairing outlook.

It is starting to look like some content scanner and not display rendering. Emails before mid-day on Monday are displayed properly. All emails from later, have this extra stuff in the header and display as raw headers. Bell Canada has the "sympatico.ca" email domain that I use but I don't know who actually runs it, and if they added this thing.

Yeah, it's this scanner is causing problems: X-RazorGate-Vade.

Vade released an update to the software or scanning definitions yesterday and it is causing problems for POP accounts - have yet to see an IMAP user say its broken for them.

A user brought it to my attention around 2:30 ET yesterday.

I think everyone affected wants to see it fixed. :)

I have a lot of clients who prefer POP for one reason or another (often because their mailbox size or they want as little of their data online as possible).

It appears to be fixed now, 3/4 of the emails yesterday were OK, all emails today are OK. The difference is Vade's screening information is further down in the overall header where it should be instead of placed at the very top where it hides the fundamental email header lines. Unfortunately nothing that looks like a version number in that block of info to confirm an update.

The idea of pre-release testing occurs to me. So do adjectives that might get my comments autodeleted :)
