High CPU Usage Continues after Ending Video Call

Edit 2: I'm running the latest teams-insiders build (1.3.00.16851) which was released June 17, 2020 and the problem seems to have gone away. I've been on several video calls today - which all included screen sharing and the CPU usage has returned to normal afterwards! Hopefully these fixes get incorporated into the non "insiders" builds.

Edit: the problem (for me) only occurs on a call after I share my screen. If I am just using my camera the CPU usage remains normal. Hopefully this helps troubleshoot the issue.
Update: I was mistaken, problem still exists.

Hello All,

I've noticed after completing a video call in Teams that the CPU usage remains high. The only way to get the CPU usage to return to normal is to close Teams completely, and then reopen it again.

I'm running on Ubuntu 20.04.

If I had to guess the process that's spawned for the video call is never terminated, despite the call ending.

After the latest Teams update (1.3.00.16851) the issue doesn't occur anymore. I've working at home for a few months and I've been calling many coworkers without problems. The only thing I've noticed is the microphone icon on Gnome bar stills even though call finished.

Teams will use 100% CPU forever even when I just launch Teams and do nothing ... often Teams runs OK for a few hours then spontaneously goes into using 100% CPU when I am not interacting with Teams at all

this bug happens about once or twice every week before I bounce Teams then its OK

ubuntu 20.04 or any version of Ubuntu

in above comments MS person said over a year ago they are adding better error logging to Teams
... did that happen yet ?

currently my Teams is version You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.13653 (64-bit).

Note this bug has been happening ever since I started using Teams on a linux laptop ... it happens on all my linux laptops so its not specific to some bad install of Teams ... and yes I have purged Teams and reinstalled to no help

    Please fix.
