Shared calendars in O365 now showing as individual calendars as opposed to merged

Since this morning, on the online version of Outlook Calendar, I can no longer view shared calendars together with mine. For every new calendar I open, a new window appears parallel to my own calendar. This is making my work impossible. As Project Manager I frequently have to schedule meetings with upwards of 10 participants. It is impossible to find an available spot with this new view. Please help me get the old / merged view back.

I want to be able to open as many calendars as I want an have them overlap with mine.

And yes, I know I can use the "scheduling assistant" tab in the new event window, but I don't find that functionality as useful, as I have to scroll day by day, as opposed to having a weekly or monthly view for example.

Hello TJ,

Thank you for sharing the details and screenshots, this behavior is due to a recent change in Outlook on the web. When multiple calendars are selected, the default view is now Split view (each calendar in its own column). The good news is that the overlay/merged view is still available; it just needs to be toggled back on. If you're using New Outlook or Outlook Web:

  1. Go to Calendar.
  2. On the top toolbar, select View > Split View.

If you're using Classic Outlook:

  1. Go to Calendar.
  2. Choose View > (three dots) > Overlay.
  3. Click "<-" from right calendar (in the heading of each calendar) to merge it with left calendar.

Let me know if you need further guidance.

This didn't work for me - there's no > Overlay option.

The steps are a bit different depending on which version of Outlook you have. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/view-multiple-calendars-at-the-same-time-in-outlook-fffa8783-0556-4ea1-ba62-3ed8a95a903c#picktab=new_outlook .
