I had to reinstall Windows 11 to fix update porblems on my Asus ExpertBook.

Windoes got all the drivers from the net and all seemed to work fine...

BUT then I found trouble with the "Realtek Audio Console".

When I launch it it open a short blink and the closes.

Same happends when I pug something in to the 3,5" jack.

And the headset I pug in is not discovered either.

Have to be plugged in when I boot the system to be discovered.

  1. Why does the "Realtek Audio Console" crash when opening?
  2. Why does the system not detect when a 3,5" s plugged in?

Hello there! I am Charity. I'm glad to help you today!

May I ask what exact ExpertBook do you have?

Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and hit Enter.

In the System Summary section, please provide me the three things below.

    BaseBoard Manufacturer

    BaseBoard Product

    BaseBoard Version

Also, may I ask what are the audio devices are you connecting?

    Kind Regards,

    Charity

Reset the app or reinstall your asus realtek audio driver using asussetup.exe (and then run Microsoft Store to pull the app).

Thank you for the information. I would have suggested to uninstall the Realtek console, then have it reinstalled with the above site, but it seems to have been removed by ASUS. realtek audio console

Asus bundles their own APO / Console package alongside the Realtek UAD driver.

I would suggest contacting ASUS support for their version of the Codec console for the installation file.
