I'm looking for help if there is a possibility to synchronize my SharePoint Online Event calendar with my outlook.

Please do the following:
1.Open the SharePoint calendar you wish to connect.
2.Click the Calendar tab at the top left of the screen to open the ribbon.
3.Select the Connect to Outlook option from the Connect & Export group on the ribbon to synchronize with Outlook.

I don't think this solves the issue, because they are looking for an answer for SharePoint online. My understanding is that you can no longer connect a calendar with SharePoint online.
I'm wrong. You can. I'm confusing the old SharePoint lists that use a Calendar view. SharePoint Event lists (which are sometimes called Calendars) can still be synced.

Yes this still works to LINK a calendar for viewing in Outlook. It's like linking to any other external calendar, it lets you see it in Outlook without opening Sharepoint.
What is disabled is being able to add to a calendar by sending an invite.
