Perhaps you are observing the effects of property promotion/demotion.

If an Office file (or email or tiff file) is uploaded to SharePoint then SharePoint will insert additional metadata (e.g., Content Type) into the file. As a result the file in SharePoint will have slightly different metadata properties and will be slightly larger (order of a few kBs).

If you upload the same source file to exactly the same location in SharePoint then the resulting file in SharePoint should be identical.

    Hello @Leena Patoliya,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

To better assist you, could you please clarify: Which specific metadata fields are changing after re-upload? (For example: Title, Author, Last Modified By, or any custom fields?)

I have sent you a private message to protect your personal information. Please reply to that message with a screenshot of the specific metadata fields that are changing after your re-upload.

This will help us identify the root cause of the issue and provide a more accurate solution.

I'm looking forward to your reply so I can assist you further.

    Best Regards.
