    Hi @Keith Connell

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. To ensure we provide the most accurate solution tailored to your needs, could you please help clarify a few details:

    • Which version of Excel are you currently using?(You can check this by going to File > Account > About Excel.)

    • When you mention “minimization mode,” are you referring to:
      • Excel windows being grouped together on the taskbar when minimized?
      • Or the window automatically minimizing when clicking the taskbar icon?
    • Are you experiencing similar behavior with any other applications besides Excel?
    • Are you looking tocompletely disable Snap Layouts for Excel?

Please understand that our initial response may not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your input and more detailed information, we can work together to identify the most effective solution.

If you have any updates or further questions, feel free to leave a comment under this post. I truly look forward to hearing back from you so we can continue investigating this together.

The "grid" shown when you rest the mouse pointer on the Restore/Maximize icon on the title bar is a Windows feature. If you found a way to turn it off, please share it with the forum. However, it is possible to just ignore it and click the button to simply maximize or restore the window (as in older versions of the operating system).
