how to change my email address name

Hi, I've recently set up a new business email address although it automatically changed it to "Removed PII"

I just want the email to be Removed PII (Im wanting to remove the "onmicrosoft" part of the email.

Can you please assist me?

1.Add and Verify Your Custom Domain

• Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
• Navigate to Settings > Domains.
• Click Add domain, enter your domain (e.g., tgpcarpentry.com), and follow the verification steps (usually adding a TXT record in your DNS).

2.Update DNS Records

• After verification, update your MX record to point to Microsoft 365 so that email for your domain routes correctly.
• This step ensures all emails sent to @tgpcarpentry.com go to Microsoft 365 mailboxes.

3.Change User Email Addresses

• In the Admin Center, go to Users > Active Users.
• Select the user (e.g., Travis Pollard), click Manage username and email.
• Change the domain from onmicrosoft.com to your custom domain (tgpcarpentry.com) and save changes.

4.Set Custom Domain as Default (Optional)

• Still under Settings > Domains, select your custom domain and click Set as default.
• This ensures all new users and groups use @tgpcarpentry.com by default.

5.Test and Confirm

• Sign out and sign back in with your new email address.
• Send a test email to confirm everything works.
