A free program from Microsoft that provides developers with the tools, resources, and sandbox environments needed to build solutions for Microsoft 365.
Hi @Naomi Yoshikawa
Thank you for posting your question in the Q&A Forum.
I’m sorry for the trouble you’ve run into with your Developer Program subscription. I understand it’s frustrating to see “Deleted subscription” on the dashboard and not be able to set up a new sandbox.
When a Microsoft 365 Developer Program E5 sandbox expires, the system first marks it as deleted before fully releasing the account. During this state, it’s expected that you won’t be able to create a new subscription right away, even though the FAQ confirms your eligibility.
As forum moderators, we don’t have access to internal systems to reset Developer Program profiles. What usually works quickest is creating a new personal Microsoft account (for example, Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, or Live.com) and enrolling again in the Developer Program. This ensures you can start fresh without waiting for the old profile to clear.
If you prefer to continue with the same account, the only option is to contact Microsoft Developer Support, who can check your profile directly. Please note that this path may require a support plan.
Additionally, you may also consider sharing your experience on the Microsoft Feedback Portal. This helps the product team better understand how developers are impacted and may influence future improvements to the Developer Program.
I know this isn’t the most convenient experience, and I truly appreciate your patience while navigating this issue.
